A beloved and deeply respected Silicon Valley leader, Christine Russell ’71, MBA ’83 brought over 30 years of corporate and financial expertise to every endeavor. Joining AXT, Inc.’s Board of Directors in December 2019 as an independent director, she served with distinction as chair of the audit committee and as a member of the compensation committee and the nominating and corporate governance committee. Christine was admired not only for her sharp intelligence and strategic vision, but also for her warmth, integrity, and unwavering commitment to those she worked with. Christine died on July 11, 2025.
