Christine Donovan J.D. ’02, a senior staff attorney for the Solano County Superior Court, has been appointed the Judicial Council’s Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee. The committee identifies issues and concerns affecting court administration; proposes necessary changes to rules, standards, and forms; reviews and recommends legislation; recommends pilot projects to evaluate new procedures or practices; and acts on assignments referred to it by the Judicial Council. The committee also makes recommendations to the Judicial Council regarding grants for programs and projects involving court appointed special advocates (CASA), child support commissioners and family law facilitators, family court services, and access to visitation.

"It is an incredible honor to be selected by Chief Justice Cantil-Sakauye as a member of Judicial Council’s Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee. I look forward to collaborating with others who believe as I do that these areas of the law are both challenging and highly rewarding. I am committed to using my experiences as a family law staff attorney and as a certified family law specialist to improve the administration of justice in cases involving marriage, family, or children for the people of the State of California," Donovan said in a statement.
