1972

Known as “Chuck” to all and “Shredmeister” to those who knew him well, Charles Lohse ’72 had an entrepreneurial and warm spirit. He worked in the family business with his father and brother running Lohse Mill in Glenn County. Later, he launched a successful document storage and destruction company in Chico. When he wasn’t working, Chuck was making stops around town, attending his children’s school events, and ringing the bell for Salvation Army. His passion for travel took the family on trips across the globe, from Texas to Australia. Most of all Chuck supported the communities he lived in, whether as a volunteer firefighter or serving on local organizations. Chuck died Oct. 20, 2023, and is survived by family, including wife Jane Lohse ’72.
