Born in Tacoma, Washington, to the late Delbert and Virginia Belfoy, Carolyn J Salciccia J.D. ’70 graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma and went on to receive a bachelor’s from Stanford University and a law degree from SCU. Admitted to the California Bar in 1970, Carolyn practiced family law for many years in San Jose. She served as a child advocate for CASA Silicon Valley. In her lifetime, she was an avid reader, world traveler, and seamstress extraordinaire who delighted in fashion, adored her cats, and loved her garden. She also loved Hawaii, good food, and jazz music. She was a member of many charities, including Valley Monte League, San Jose Symphony Auxiliary, and San Jose Jazz Society.Carolyn passed away in her sleep on Oct. 28, 2017 at the age of 78. She is survived by her children, Kevin Killen (Marilyn), Tracy VanLigten (Glen), Lia Prusha (Bryan) and Tom Salciccia, Jr. (Mark), Gina Salciccia (Jim) and MaryAlice Salciccia; her brothers, Richard Belfoy (Patricia) and Frank Belfoy (Valerie); her grandchildren, Adrien, Emily, Joe, Andrew, Lexi, Flynn, Connor, Evan, and Ada, who will all miss spending time with her. She is survived and predeceased by ex-husbands William Killen and Thomas Salciccia.
