1984

Over the course of his life, Bryan Murphy ’84 taught us that fashion trends come and go but cargo shorts and Keen sandals, often paired with a copy of The New York Times, are forever. He will be remembered as a foodie specializing in artisanal peanut butter and handcrafted tea, an unhandy handyman, and a person of few but mostly funny words. Bryan pulled the ultimate Irish goodbye and passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2019, at 57 years old. He is survived by his three children; wife of 32 years Deborah Murphy ’87; grand-dog; soon-to-be grandchild; four siblings, including Harry Murphy ’79; and a much loved mom.
