Bridget Mackay J.D. ’95 was recently profiled on Petaluma360.com for her commitment to the local community. Bridget served as a deputy district attorney for both Solano and Sonoma counties for nearly 10 years. When she switched to estate planning, Mackay found herself with time to devote to local causes.

One cause that appealed to her was an opportunity to join the Petaluma Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises money to benefit local schools. She’s now President of the Board of Directors.  Mackay  helps oversee two Alphabet Soup thrift stores and serves as the chair of the planned giving committee and has used her legal skills to develop the Planned Giving program, as well as helped the committee establish a system for donors to give through their wills, trusts, IRA’s and life insurance policies.

In 2014 she earned the title of Best Attorney in the Petaluma People’s Choice Award. Her hobbies: skiing, scuba diving, and traveling on vacation with her husband and two daughters, especially if the travel involves skiing or scuba diving.
