Brandon Sanchez ’18 has been selected to serve as a 2018–19 Joseph A. O’Hare, S.J., Postgraduate Media Fellow for America Media, the leading editorial provider of content on Catholic thinking, at Fordham University Lincoln Center. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sanchez studied history at SCU. Somewhat a political junkie (and a brazen idealist), he has worked on campaigns and in government. He spent his junior year at Oxford University, where distance from home afforded him the opportunity to reflect on 21st-century American life and write an extended riff on the subject, which won the Mansfield College Essay Prize. He is interested in complicating widely accepted narratives, bridging divides, and exploring interactions between institutions and people.
