Bradley Stoutt ’56, J.D. ’60 was born in Chicago and spent his early childhood in Honolulu, where he witnessed the attack on Pearl Harbor. His family later relocated to San Bernardino County and he attended SCU, graduating with a bachelor’s in political science. Brad served in the Marines from 1956 to 1958, reaching the rank of first lieutenant before graduating from Santa Clara Law. Brad served the Southern California community though his work as a deputy county counsel in Riverside County, deputy attorney general, and Superior Court commissioner in Los Angeles County. He retired in 1996. Brad spent the last years of his life enjoying the Pacific Northwest, with his beloved wife, Jane, predeceasing him in 2013. He passed away on May 29, 2019, at the age of 84. He is survived by his two sons, Tim (Stacey) and Tom (Cathleen), and daughter Carolyn (Ted); grandchildren Joe, Ellie, Colin, Owen, Anna, Caitlyn, and Carter; brother Tony Stoutt of Longview, Washington, and many other loving extended family members and friends.
