After her children were grown, Bette DiGirolamo M.A. ’97 went back to SJSU to complete a bachelor’s in psychology. Earlier, that was where she met her husband of 45 years. Then she enrolled at Santa Clara University where she earned her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. For over 20 years, Bette was a passionate therapist who cared deeply about her clients. When she wasn’t on the clock, she was a long-time Elvis Presley fan—she even saw him in concert at the Cow Palace in 1977. Bette died the morning after Easter 2021, surrounded by her son, daughter and close friends.
