Betsy S. Rafael ’83 has been elected to SCU’s Board of Trustees. Rafael held the position of vice president and corporate controller for Apple since August 2007, and was appointed to the additional role of principal accounting officer in January 2008. She previously worked at Cisco Systems in the roles of vice president, corporate finance; corporate controller; and principal accounting officer. Before Cisco, Rafael worked in senior finance, executive, or management positions at Aspect Communications, a provider of customer relationship portals; Escalate, an enterprise e-commerce application service provider; Silicon Graphics; and Sun Microsystems. She began her career with the accounting firm Arthur Young & Co.
