Teacher, wife, and mother Becky Stephens ’99 died on July 24, 2022, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Growing up in Santa Rosa, she was one of the first members of the local Tomorrow’s Leaders Today program, as well as a determined athlete, a counselor and eventual director of Camp Yu-Chi and Camp Wa-Tam. After getting her credentials she went on to work as a middle school teacher. While living in Takapuna, New Zealand, she taught at a girls school, Carmel College, for seven years. There she met her husband, Tim, and gave birth to their first daughter, Sophie. They decided to put down roots on the same side of the globe as her family and moved back to Santa Rosa. She is survived by extended family, including aunt Mary Jo Dale ’85.
