From her early years growing up near Boston, Barbara Longley-Cook J.D. ’76 pursued an extraordinary academic journey that spanned physics, engineering, and law, earning degrees from Simmons, Cornell, Arizona, and Santa Clara. Her career was as diverse as her studies, carrying her from national laboratories and Navy contracts to building her own business and advocating as an environmental lawyer. Yet beyond her accomplishments, Wendy’s heart was always with her family and community. In retirement, she found joy in service through the Elks Lodge scholarship program, in quiet companionship with her cherished animals, and in peaceful days by the Ouachita River. Wendy died on Jan. 10, 2025.
