Arthur Shafer ’75 and his wife, Camilla ’80, created a beautiful family, raising two wonderful sons. Art’s love for athletics began in high school where he not only excelled in track and field but became a California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section champion setting a long jump record of 23 feet and 4.5 inches that still stands after 54 years. Throughout his career in mortgage finance, Art led teams at Comerica Bank, Tokai Bank, and Bank of America. His passion for sports continued into adulthood as an avid skier and golfer, and he was a lifelong member of the Los Angeles Country Club. Art died on Feb. 4, 2025.
