1970

In the early 1970s, Antonia P. Pulone ’70 was working in a federal program counseling and mentoring underprivileged Black teens, encouraging them to further their education in the face of racial discrimination. Her journey then took her to California to begin a career in deposition reporting. With her friend, she founded the firm Pulone and Stromberg, Inc., which gained a reputation as one of the premier deposition reporting firms in the Bay Area. She was also a founding member and past President of the Deposition Reporters Association of California (CalDRA). She died in August 2021, and is survived by her husband Stephen J. Walwyn ’70 and many nieces and nephews.
