Anthony Morici was instrumental in bringing the 1992 World Figure-skating c hampionship and 1996 U.S. Championship to San Jose. His work as a real estate developer helped shape the city and the surrounding Bay Area. However, always a man of humility, Morici kept a sense of duty and often referred to his Jesuit education as the foundation of his life. While San Jose was his home, he had a soft spot for Sun Valley, ID. None could forget exploring Idaho’s Wood River Valley, many winters skiing, and summers fly-fishing with him. To his family and friends he was Uncle Tony or Papa Tony, a testament to his fatherly care. Morici died Feb. 25, 2022.
