Allen K. Tibodeau MBA ’66, age 76, of Marion, Iowa, died Nov. 22, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Julia; five children, Pam Wild, of Marion, Michelle (Paul) Sillman, of Cedar Rapids, Janette (Brian) Shea, of Chicago, Ill., Kevin Tibodeau, of Marion, and Joshua Tibodeau, of Hiawatha; eight grandchildren, Zach, Lauren, and Elizabeth Wild, Nick, Jordan, and Anthony Sillman, and Eleanor and Julia Shea; sister, Jeanne (Larry) Schuetzle, of Cary, Ill.; brother, Jim Tibodeau, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and his dogs, Charlie and Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Baker.
Allen was born Dec. 13, 1937, the son of Kenneth and Mildred (Willette) Tibodeau in Brush Creek. He grew up and graduated from High School in Blue Earth. Allen received his B.A. from Mankato State, in Mankato and his MBA from the University of Santa Clara, in Santa Clara, Calif. He was a software engineer for 30 years at Rockwell Collins. After retirement, Allen looked forward to his weekly gatherings with his former colleagues.
Allen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Allen enjoyed watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. He enjoyed camping with his family and fishing in Canada and Minnesota with his friends. He also enjoyed gardening, tinkering, and spending time with his family.
