2006

In May, Alicia Rice ’06 was a special guest performer in Aquamania: A Blast from the Past, a water ballet integrating elements of swimming, dance, and gymnastics. The performance was presented by the Santa Clara Aquamaids, the most decorated synchronized swimming club in the world; it’s produced more USA Olympic Synchronized Swimmers than any other club since synchronized swimming became an Olympic sport in 1952. Rice, who left Arizona at age 16 to train with the Aquamaids in 2000, is an Olympian who graduated from Santa Clara University with cum laude honors. She was a performer in La Reve at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort from 2007-2012 and recently returned to the Aquamaids to assist with choreography and artistic development.
