Friends of the University

Alicia Henderson ’02 has been named the interim superintendent of the Bellevue School District in Santa Rosa.
 
Henderson, a graduate of Healdsburg High School, replaces Tony Roehrick who is headed to Cabrillo Unified School District in Half Moon Bay.
Henderson earned a bachelor’s then master’s degree from Humboldt State University and earned a Ph.D. from the University of California at San Francisco in speech and hearing science. She did training in educational administration at Santa Clara University and is currently studying School Business Management through the University of Southern California.
Henderson has taught special education and has worked as a program specialist with the Santa Clara County Office of Education. She has worked as both elementary and middle school principal with the Mountain View-Whisman School District and for the past five years has worked in the Franklin-McKinley School District in San Jose as director of curriculum, instruction and assessment. She is currently acting assistant superintendent of the Franklin-McKinley School District.
