Albert “Al” Torres ’54 graduated from Bellarmine High School and SCU. He was an officer in the Army, a founder of California Land Title Company, and later became senior VP of Old Republic Title Company in Santa Clara County. At the age of 88, Al passed away in his San Jose home surrounded by family on July 1, 2019. Throughout his life, he provided unconditional love and support to his family, neighbors, friends, and pets. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and his nine siblings. He will be greatly missed by his four children, including Catherine M. Torres-Yoshii ’86 and Mark A. Torres ’77, their spouses, six grandchildren, and his dog Bisbee.
