During World War II, Alan Purchase MBA ’64 bravely served as a B-17 navigator in the U.S. Army Air Forces stationed in England. Upon returning home, he met Barbara. He proposed during his senior year at UC Berkeley, and they were married in 1949. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in 2024, surrounded by their three children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Alan found success in high-tech marketing and later led international forecasting at SRI International. Alan died on Dec. 27, 2024, and is survived by family, including son-in-law Charles Perkins J.D. ’86.
