Born in Brooklyn in 1940, Alan L. Tanenbaum J.D. ’75 studied at Columbia, Syracuse, and Santa Clara. After a career as an accomplished astrophysicist, he went on to become a family lawyer. He was president of the California Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and of Silicon Valley Jewish Family Services. An art docent, active participant in Beyond War, EST, and Landmark, Alan was also a licensed pilot, an enthusiastic world traveler, and a sometimes look-alike of both Steve Martin and Rich Little. He passed away on Aug. 1, 2018.
