Patricia Badia-Johnson ’76 published Orienta…She Is the Dance, the story and writings for her mother, Orienta Badia. Orienta was born on Christmas day 1918 and juggled the demands of two cultures as a member of a family who immigrated from Italy to the United States. A dancer, Orienta used her art to support her family through the Great Depression.
